Michael Larsen: Uncertainty

Martin Molberg's girlfriend has been murdered. What we have: the name of an unknown; a hotel room number; a pornographic photo... The story starts out like your everyday thriller, but it isn't long until you are drawn into the strange world of the protagonist ("I took another Supril and some whisky..."). What is real, and what is only part of his drug-blurred vision? The strangest theories arise from his research. Electronic image manipulation, spies and government agencies enter the stage, things that were taken for real are suddenly not so sure. This novel is a special treat because Molberg is a sort of anti-hero and sometimes you want to empty a bucket of water over his head and tell him what to do. But as a reader, you have no choice but to see the world through his eyes... which is not so bad, after all.
