Like beads on a chain, the houses of Lochcarron sit next
to each other on the road along the shore of Loch Carron. Lochcarron has a few
hotels and shops and, would you believe it, two filling stations! There is even
a small "industrial estate" outside the village, and a railway connection from
nearby Strathcarron.
