Programs: comicsThis little Perl program can be used to screen scrape comics from web pages and send them to you as mail. I use this to get my morning dose of Dilbert and other comics. The program will remember which comics it already got, so it only sends them to you once, even if you run it from a cron job every few hours. Additionally, this program can archive all comics on your hard disk. Comics uses a simple configuration file in Perl format. A sample configuration file is provided, see the comments in the file for details. Call the Comics program with the name of the configuration file as the only command line argument. Download:
