Kimeret Place, Mapua
About halfway between Nelson and
Abel Tasman National Park
near the northern tip of the South Island, you can
find Kimeret Place, a small Bed & Breakfast. From the garden or
from the pool you have a sweeping view over a tidal flat, orchards, and
vineyards to the peaks of the Richmond Ranges. Kimeret Place is a
perfect place for a few quiet days in the countryside or as a starting point
for a trip to
Abel Tasman National Park.
The beach on Rabbit Island is not far away and for dinner you can drive to
one of the towns in the vicinity.
Clare and Peter, who left England for a life in New Zealand, have been
running this place for two years. With much attention for detail, they
make your stay very comfortable and pleasurable. And they are always
available for interesting conversations.
