Ocean View Motel, Ohope

In the beautiful Bay of Plenty lies the small town of Ohope. Ohope offers a very laid back atmosphere and a great ocean beach. And this beach is right in front of the Ocean View Motel, which really has the promised view. To get to the beach you only have to go out of the driveway and cross a small dead-end road with not much traffic. In the summer the water is warm enough to swim and there are quite good waves. If swimming is too boring for you, the motel owners will lend you all sorts of equipment like boogie boards and surf kayaks.

The motel has three self-contained units with fully equipped kitchen and a balcony each. The number one unit is the biggest and looks out to the front, the other two units look out to the sides. The motel is owned by Glynis and Pat, who live with their three children in the house. They are both teachers and they are very friendly. Together with Coleen, who looks after the house in the daytime, they make you really feel at home. A great place for a quiet vacation on the beach!
